Risk is a critical consideration in any project.  The speaker, Leon Spackman, will discuss the difference between a risk and an issue; how to identify risk, and how to analyze risks using industry/PMI language and tools.  He will also address the probability to occur and the impact on the project if the risk does occur and describe differnt type of mitigation to mitigate risk.

 

Leon Spackman is an instructor/consultant/contractor and has many years of experience in process improvement and project management. Leon is a certified PMI and an experienced project manager leading projects in healthcare, government and Lean Six Sigma process improvement. He has taught project management for the local PMI chapter for over three years. His latest project was to document and improvement project management processes for the Omaha District Corps of Engineers. Leon conducted 14 listening sessions, created over 20 standard processes, created and taught train-the-trainer sessions and facilitated multiple strategic planning sessions with senior leadership.  Leon is also certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and has implemented process improvement and reengineering efforts in government and commercial settings.
