Program Management: Getting Agile - Containment Exercise

Participants develop a product prototype by working in a Scrum team with Scrum ceremonies.  Two Scrum Iterations or Sprints and associated Scrum ceremonies will provide the framework by which the participants work collaboratively to design and implement a product prototype.  

Presentors:

Kathy Aragon.  Kathy has been at Sandia for 42 years. She has a Bachelors in Computer Science, is a Certified Scrum Master, Certified Product Owner, Certified SAFe Agilist, Certified SAFe 5 Program Consultant, and held a PMP for ten years.  She is jointly responsible for bringing Agile to a variety of projects at Sandia including Nuclear Weapons, Defense, Nonproliferation, and National Security Programs, Business Excellence, and Program Planning and Controls. She is a founder of the Agile Realization Office and the Agile Community of Practice. She has presented at the 2019 NDIA Agile in Government, Agile2019 and 2019 SAFe Summit conferences along with many presentations to Sandia audiences.

Alfred Lorber.  Alfred has been at Sandia for 19 years.  He has a Bachelors, Masters, and PhD in Aerospace Engineering, is a Certified Scrum Master, Certified Product Owner and Certified SAFe 4 Program Consultant.  He has contributed to the research and implementation of Agile in R&D programs through his conference presentations "A Starting Point for Negotiations - Delivering with a Heterogeneous Team" and "How We Successfully Adapted Agile for a Research-Heavy Engineering Software Team" that were accompanied by papers in the IEEE conference proceedings.  He has presented at the 2019 NDIA Agile in Government, Agile2019 and 2019 SAFe Summit conferences along with many presentations to Sandia audiences.
