Director of Communications - Cymantha Higgins, PMP®

Cymantha earned her PMP certification in  2010.  She is a Sr. Project Manager managing both internal and external projects for Clover Leaf Solutions and specializes in compliance-driven projects within the healthcare and financial industries.  Cymantha was an active volunteer with the PMI Mi High Chapter in Denver and has recently relocated to Santa Fe.  She's happy to be part of the great volunteer opportunities at the PMI Rio Grande chapter.  She and her husband enjoy hiking, biking and flying in their experimental aircraft, exploring to learn more about their new home state, beautiful New Mexico.

Director of Mentorship - Timothy (Tim) Jerome, PMP®

Tim Jerome, PMIRGC President 2013-2014, presented at monthly chapter breakfast meetings to serve membership in getting PDUs, networking, and gaining project management knowledge. This year he reviewed the PMBOK knowledge areas while discussing the collision of proper Project Management, the day-to-day business environment and our personal code of ethics.



Tim has been involved with the PMIRGC Board of Directors since 2010 serving in different roles including President and VP Professional Development. He is the founder of the successful PMIRGC chapter breakfast program.

PDU Liaison - Randi Krueger, PMP®, PMI-ACP®, PMI-PBA®, PMI-RMP®, ITIL®

Randi Krueger has held a Chapter Board position since joining the PMI Rio Grande chapter in 2014, spending the last several years as the PDU Liaison for the chapter. She has spent the past 5 years in global IT service delivery at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and the last year teaching business courses at CNM. She received her MBA from the Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico. She also holds 4 of the 8 PMI credentials as well as an ITIL v3 Foundations certification. She enjoys helping people reach their full potential and looks forward to working with RGC members on their education and career goals.

Director of Social Media - Melanie Knight, PMP®

Born and raised on the Navajo Nation, Melanie utilizes her PMP and Bachelors in Exercise Science and Nutrition to manage grants that aim to prevent or treat diabetes in American Indian/Alaska Native communities.   Alongside the social media director responsibilities for PMIRGC, Melanie is also a frequent Breakfast Meeting attendee and supporter.

Director of Special Events - Dana Roberson, MS, PMP®

I have twenty plus years experience in software engineering and software quality assurance.   By performing project, process, and software assessments I incorporate sound software engineering practices and standards for user-computer interaction.  I have led teams of software engineers and developers as well as have hands-on experience. My strong interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus assist me to understand, interpret and incorporate long-term goals and requirements.  I manage and have been managing projects by doing the following: 

  • Support software quality processes for National Nuclear Security Administration 
  • Perform assessments for Software Quality Management process improvements
  • Perform verification and validation testing for multiple application projects
  • Perform ScrumMaster duties for information technology operations team
  • Serve as a liaison with diverse government and contractor professionals
  • Led team in attainment of CMMI ML3
  • Teaching software life cycle stages as Adjunct software quality instructor
Director of Membership - Joel Matek, PMI-ACP®, PMP®

Joel Matek started his professional life as a geologist in the oil & gas industry. He then moved into Information Technology and Project Management. Joel has over 25 years of professional experience and 15 years of experience managing projects. Joel has worked in a variety of organizations including Fortune 100 companies, private industry, and State government. He also formed his own company and did independent IT and Project Management consulting. He is currently working for RESPEC doing project management and leading their Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Practice.   Joel, a former PMI Rio Grande Chapter President, encourges you to reach out to him if he can help you in any way.

Director of Finance - Erica Titus

Erica earned her PMP in 2018. She is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico were she also serves as a Clinical Trial Project Manager working together with American Indian/Alaskan Native communities. Additionally, she shares her love of science as a part-time faculty member at Central New Mexico Community College. Erica regularly attends PMIRGC events and enjoys discussing the how PMP certification can support biomedical research.
